GROUND FREIGHT SERVICES
All Gridiron Bumper products leave our facility and are packaged for protection and shipped in a custom made crate. Packaging may include stretch wrap, cardboard, foam wrapping, absorber pads, or moving blankets.
Products are shipped via ground freight services.
Gridiron Bumper Corp does not offer third party freight billing, we do not ship anything Collect on Delivery, and we do not 'up-charge' freight to our customers.
The customer is responsible for all special services such as: lift/power gate, inside delivery, residential delivery, farm delivery, limited access, job site delivery, call before delivery, storage fees, change of shipping location, additional transit time, additional unloading time, appointments, cancellation fee, etc.
Cancellation fee will apply if the transport company does not receive 48 hours notice.
Transit time does not include the day of pick up or weekends. Transit is based on business days Monday - Friday.
Please note: Estimated delivery date is subject to change without notice. Appointments, Canadian and U.S. holidays, additional service requests, border delays, inclement weather and other unforeseeable delays could extend the estimated delivery date.
Please consult freight carrier about delays in transit and transit times.
Rate quote is based on the information provided.
If you provided an email address at the time of order you will receive a Shipment Notification email once your order leaves our facility. This email contains important information such as the carrier, tracking number, terminal phone number, and delivery/due date. Please refer to the carrier's website for tracking or transit information. If you need specific information regarding delivery date or time, we recommend contacting the carrier direct.
DELIVERY & INSPECTION
As a Buyer and Consignee of the shipment you must take 5-10 minutes and fully inspect the shipment with the driver present. Do not let the driver leave without obtaining the proper documentation.
Before signing a receipt, ensure the driver has completed ALL of the boxes regarding condition of shipment upon arrival. (e.g., damaged or good should be checked by the driver BEFORE you sign for the item).
If you, or anyone else, signs for the shipment in good condition you are releasing the freight carrier from all liability and any damages become your responsibility.
If damage occurs - no matter how minor - you should note damage on the delivery receipt for the driver and determine if you want to keep the product.
ALL damage must be reported through Gridiron Bumpers Freight Claim Form within 5 calendar days of delivery date. Gridiron Bumper Corp. will make every effort to assist in the claims process, but we can only file a freight claim with the carrier if you inspect and note damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
If you sign for the item in 'good condition' and fail to notate damage on the delivery receipt, the shipment becomes your responsibility and Gridiron Bumper Corp cannot assist with the claims process.
In the event a damage claim is filed, Gridiron Bumper will need proof of damage noted on the delivery receipt and digital pictures of the damaged product and packaging. The customer should retain original packaging materials in the event the carrier requires an inspection, and do NOT proceed with any repairs until approval has been given by the carrier.
If extreme damage occurs by the carrier, tell the driver you would like to refuse the shipment and it will be returned to Gridiron Bumper Corp for repair or replacement.
